Ever since discovering Bitcoin in 2010, I have been obsessed with all things cryptocurrency. As a Director of Software Engineering by profession, I no longer get the opportunity to code 9 hours a day like I did in the past.

To scratch the coding itch, I decided to work on a side project in my spare time. Coming up with the idea is always the hardest part for me. However, this time it was a no brainer... Cryptocurrency! I am proud to announce version one of the application:

I decided to develop an application that I (and hopefully others) can use on a daily basis. The first version of the application includes the following features:

• Market Cap Rankings
• Cryptocurrency to USD Convertor
• Coin Information Page
• Portfolio Tracking

Manage your purchased and/or favorite coins by adding them to your portfolio. Track how many coins you own and easily see the total value of your portfolio.

The site is a SPA built with Angular 4, Typescript, Bootstrap, Material Kit Pro, PHP, and MySQL.

I plan on writing a more detailed article about the technologies used and what I learned along the way - stay tuned! I would to hear your feedback and ideas on new features to develop.
